Timetable
09.00 – 09.15
Children arrive with parents, place their bags and lunch box in the trolley provided.
09.00
Pre-school gate is opened and children are met by members of staff. Any special notes about the children are written down by staff. Supervisor and staff are available to talk briefly to parents (or arrange appointments for longer or more confidential meetings out of Pre-school hours). Children find name cards and place in box

09.00 – 11.30
Free Play – the children are able to select their own toys to play with, or use what the staff have put out and join in with small and large group adult led activities (e.g. cooking, craft, science and maths investigation, ICT, nature study).
The outdoor play area is available every day, when the weather is bad we are able to provide some wet weather clothes as we know the benefit of outdoor play.
The staff use this time to work with their designated key children to promote their individual developmental needs.
During this time we offer a Snack Bar, where some small groups of children can sit round a table with a member of staff and are offered a drink of milk or water and some pieces of fruit, vegetable and dried fruit.
11.30 – 11.40
Tidy up time.
11.40- 11.55
Circle time, where we split into developmentally appropriate groups for an adult led activity.
The ‘Goodbye Song’ for the morning session children.
12.00
Parents come to collect morning session children. They are greeted by a member of staff to give a hand over.
12.05 – 12.15
Prepare Lunch club children to wash hands and get ready to sit down.
12.15 – 13.00
Children will sit with friends and staff and to eat lunch.
13.00 – 14.25
During this session the children will be encouraged to take part in adult-led small group activities to introduce them to new experiences and help them to gain new skills, as well as helping them to learn to work with others.
14.25 – 14.30
Tidy up activities from the afternoon. The children then help to gather their belongings.
14.30 – 14.40
The children will all sit together and we have a drink and snack.
14.40 – 14.55
Group story time and ‘The Goodbye Song’.
15.00
Home time
Parents come to collect their child. They are greeted by a member of staff to give a hand over.
